Customer Service issue: The H2O Mop® is working well and all of a sudden it stars making noise and the steam stops coming out. The above video illustrates the problem and the how to fix it.

  1. H2O Mop® is turned on - steam comes out.

  2. If for any reason the Water container, while using the mop, slightly moves up, after 5-10 seconds the mop will start making noise and stop releasing steam.

  3. To fix the problem, push the water tank down so it is secure and the noise will stop and steam will start coming out again.

H2O Mop® Tips/Troubleshooting Sheet

  1. Do not operate without either the microfibre cloth or disposable pads in place.

  2. The H2O Mop® can only be used when the approved floor cloths are in place.

  3. Never put cleaning detergents or scented products into the H2O Mop®. This will make the operation unsafe and damage the unit.

  4. On surfaces that have been treated with wax, the wax may be removed by the heat and steam action.

  5. Use extra caution on vinyl, linoleum or any other heat sensitive floors.

  6. Do not use on unsealed wood floors or let the unit stand on any wood floor for an extended period of time.

  7. Use only tap water for the H2O Mop®. Residents in areas with hard water, should use distilled water for better performance.

  8. When using the H2O Mop® on carpets, place the mop head (with micro fibre cloth or disposable pad in place) over the carpet glider.

  9. Disposable pads and microfibre cloths can be used on all floor type surfaces.

  10. Disposable cloths are designed for one time use.

  11. To avoid excess water or streak marks on the floor surfaces, please ensure that either the microfibre cloth or disposable pad is either cleaned or replaced at each use.

  12. Microfibre cloth pads can be machine washed in hot water and tumbled dry.

  13. For optimal performance and results, it is recommended to sweep or vacuum the floor prior to using the H2O Mop®.

  14. To ensure maximum steam production, ensure the water tank has the correct level of water.

  15. To sanitize an area of your floor, leave the H2O Mop® over the area for a minimum of 8 seconds, no longer than 15 seconds.

  16. You can easily add water to the H2O Mop® without removing the water container by slightly tilting the handle backwards. Open the cap and use the measuring cup included with your Mop, to pour water into the water container with one hand, while you hold the handle. Make sure the H2O Mop® is turned off before adding water.

I REALLY like this mop and would sugguest it to everyone.
Especially for those of you who have little toddlers as you don't need to use harsh chemical cleaners which makes it so much healthier for the little ones.
On another note Thane; why when purchasing the mop from The Super Store here in BC Canada, isn't there any disposable mop heads in the package??

Cheryl

Hi. I was thinking of buying your mop but as i live in a really bad water area, i am unsure if it is a good idea. i find my kettles fur up a lot in spite of filter and cleaning the kettle.

Thane says...In hard water areas we recommend regular descaling with equals parts of water and white vinegar to keep your H2O Mop in top working order. We also supply Filters which help prevent this.

I bought a H2O mop a few months ago and absolutely love it. Along with the regular mop head covers and the disposable covers, I also got a shaggy blue cover - what surface should I use this on?

Thane says...The shaggy blue cloth is the Coral cloth as is super-absorbent so great on grubby floors when you need a good boost of steam

Why do i need disposable cloths? Does the microfibre cloths not clean well?

Thane Says: The disposable cloths are ideal for greasy, grimey spills to soak up the main spill that you would not like to use on your everyday microfibre cloths.

How do I order more washable and disposable pads, I can't work out how to do it from this site. If I try to change the quantity in the basket it reverts back to 1. I will also want to order replacements. How do I do this?

Thane says:
On our webpage search for H20 in the search bar and this will bring up the accessories. Once on the payment page enter the amount of items and click the update symbol to the right and this will amend your order.

I borrowed the H20 mop from a friend and was amazed by the results. When I clean my kitchen, utility and bathroom tiles with the mop and bucket I thought they looked fine but after using the H20 mop I am amazed they they have been really sanatised. They grout came out so clean it actually lifts stubborn stain in seconds. I also used it on my sitting room carpet which had a lot of stains from over the years. It did not remove completely but really freshened it up. I am now going to order my own.

Thane says:
Glad you like it!

Can the H2o mop get wax out of the carpet?

Thane says:
Yes - I have even done this myself! Just use the microfibre cloth for best results and hold the steam mop over the wax for about 30 secs. Way easier than an iron and brown paper.

When you order the H2O mop as part of the on-line offer, does this still include the micro-fibre and disposable cloths, od do you have to order them separately?

Thane says:
Yes you get some and you can buy more!

Can you regulate the amount of steam you use? Some floors might need less steam than others.

Thane says:
You do not need to regulate the steam, if an area needs more cleaning than another part, you just stay on that area for longer.
